Dr. Aliah Zafer
Assistant Professor of Management
Biography:
Dr. Zafer is an Assistant Professor in the College of Business Administration at Alyamamah University. She received her Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Curtin University in Australia â Perth in 2017. She also received her Master in International Business and a Graduate Diploma of Business both from Curtin University. Dr. Zaferâs main goal is to apply and expand skills and experience within business administration roles, especially in management. To seek a challenging situation to utilize her skills and abilities in area of teaching and education that offers a professional growth while being resourceful, innovative and flexible.
Publications:
Dr. Zafer research interests span both general Management and Strategic Management. Much of her work has been on improving the understanding mechanisms of knowledge sharing within industry clusters and geographical mapping of clusters, mainly through the application of different research models. She has also investigated the implications of Saudi Vision 2030 Realization Programs as an ongoing research project from Strategic planning perspectives. Dr. Zafer is an author and co-author of some papers on knowledge sharing and industry clusters, women leadership and empowerment, COVID-19 impact on University students and etc.
Conferences:
Dr. Aliah Zafer presented in many local and international conferences.
She has been involved and cooperating in the establishment of Saudi Arabia Matter Track in EURAM Conference and created the unique first research group which consists of different outstanding researchers from different Saudi universities.
Teaching:
Dr. Zafer taught both undergrad and postgrad courses in the College of Business Administration â Prince Mohammed Bin Fahd University, in addition to supervising many research students (MBA & EMBA) in the completion of their Final Research Projects.
-Teaching different courses such as (Strategic Management and Principles of Management, Principles of Marketing, Operation Management, Organizational Behaviors and Business Psychology, Business Ethics, Business Communications, etc)
Services:
- A member in the Graduate Research Committee in University and College level.
- The Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee of COB (PMU) 2019-2024 .
- A jury committee chair and member in many MBA and EMBA final research defense presentations.
- A reviewer of different research projects and conference papers.
- Playing a role in developing and improving curriculum, courses and programs as a member in the Intellectual Awareness Unit between 2021-2024.
- During 2017-2018 she worked in Imam Abdulrahman Bin Fasil University as an Assistant Professor and a consulting member in the Knowledge CafĂ© and a jury member for students entrepreneurâs competitions.
- A member in PMU- Harvard Business School Microeconomic of Competitiveness Network Affiliation (2020.- 2023).
- Played an important role in contributing to the AACSB accreditation of COBA- PMU as the Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee.
- Different innovative advanced new teaching effectiveness methods including Harvard Case studies for both Graduate and Undergraduate students and providing special faculty training and workshops.
- A member of Quality and Assurance Committee.
