The library was established to be a center of excellence for information and knowledge covering many domains such as business administration, engineering, architecture, law and other fields in line with the standards of the Ministry of Education to ensure the provision of electronic services through the Saudi Digital Library in order to meet the educational, research and reference needs of students and faculty members. The library includes many books, periodicals and databases through the Saudi Digital Library in Arabic and English. The library is also fully automating its various services and providing computers connected to the Internet and wireless communication, enabling the user to access the library’s catalog, database, and search engines directly from inside or outside the university buildings using the AlYamamah University website.
