Mr. Muhammad Iqbal

Biography:
Muhammad Ahmad Iqbal is a Lecturer in Industrial and Systems Engineering at Alyamama University, Dammam Campus. He holds a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
During his academic journey, he has contributed to research in the fields of optimization, sustainable energy, and logistics. His work has been published in reputable international journals, including studies on short-term scheduling optimization of battery electric buses and sustainable hydrogen supply chain design. He has also presented research at international conferences focused on mobility and logistics.
Alongside his research, Muhammad Ahmad brings teaching and professional experience. At KFUPM, he worked as a Teaching Assistant, where he supported faculty in teaching, grading, advising, and departmental research projects. He also gained valuable industry experience as Assistant Manager in Production Planning and Control at Crescent Textiles Limited and as a Management Trainee at Bismillah Textiles Limited, where he focused on process optimization, workflow scheduling, and efficiency improvements.
His professional interests lie in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, optimization techniques, and sustainable system design. He is an active member of the Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE) and has served in leadership roles in various student organizations, including as Deputy President of the International Student Club at KFUPM.
Muhammad Ahmad has been recognized with several awards, including the Active Researcher Award at KFUPM Research Forum (2024) and a fully funded MS scholarship by KFUPM. He is also a registered engineer with the Pakistan Engineering Council.
At Alyamama University, he is dedicated to advancing academic excellence, mentoring students, and contributing to impactful research that bridges theory with practical applications in industry.
