Teaching:
Dr. Fatimah Alsayoud has gained teaching experience at Toronto Metropolitan University (Canada), Arab Open University (Saudi Arabia), and Al-Yamamah University (Saudi Arabia). Across these institutions, she has taught and supported several core computer science courses, including:
- Software Engineering
- Software Process and Modeling
- Software Requirements Engineering
- Algorithms
- Data Structures
- UNIX
- Computer Organization
- Java Programming
- Python Programming
- C++ Programming
- Supervised more than 100 undergraduate students on projects spanning a wide range of topics, including cloud computing, software development, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and research paper writing.
Dr. Alsayoud employs a hands-on, project-based teaching approach that places students at the center of their learning experience. Rather than relying solely on lectures, she integrates real-world projects, practical exercises, and trending industry tools and technologies into her courses. This method encourages students to apply concepts as they learn them, build problem-solving skills, and develop the technical confidence needed for professional practice. By aligning coursework with current trends in fields such as Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, and software development, she ensures that students graduate with both foundational knowledge and relevant, market-ready skills.
