Mr. Conrado Vizcarra
Lecturer of Computer Science

Biography:
Conrado Vizcarra is a lecturer at the College of Engineering at Al Yamamah University in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. With two decades of experience in education, he brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for teaching to his students. Mr. Vizcarra earned his Master’s Degree in Information Technology from the University of the Cordilleras in 2010. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate degree in the same field at Saint Paul University in Tuguegarao, Philippines, further solidifying his expertise and commitment to academic excellence.
Before joining Al Yamamah University, Mr. Vizcarra served as a lecturer at King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia, from 2014 to 2024. Here, he taught a diverse array of courses fundamental to computer science, including Introduction to Computing, Fundamentals of Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Software Engineering, Mobile Application Development, Digital Image Processing, and Artificial Intelligence. His versatility allowed him to also teach courses within the Master's in Artificial Intelligence program, showcasing his extensive knowledge and adaptability in the field. Prior to his tenure at King Faisal University, Mr. Vizcarra was a faculty member at the Universidad de Dagupan in Dagupan City, Philippines, from 2004 to 2014. His commitment to student development was evident in his supervision of students' graduation project proposals and implementations, ensuring that they received practical, hands-on experience alongside theoretical learning.
Throughout his career, Mr. Vizcarra has excelled as a Course Coordinator for numerous courses, playing a pivotal role in the development of study plans and course materials for various courses, including Fundamentals of Programming, Mobile Application Development, and Artificial Intelligence. His dedication to curriculum development has significantly enriched the educational experience of his students, ensuring they receive a high-quality education that prepares them for the challenges of the tech industry. In addition to his teaching and coordination responsibilities, Mr. Vizcarra has been an active participant on various committees at both the college and department levels. He has contributed to the Students Activities Committee, Infrastructure Committee, Quality Assurance Committee, Graduation Project Committee, and Curriculum Committee. His expertise was also instrumental in the accreditation process, where he served on the Accreditation Committee for both program and institutional accreditation, including ABET and NCAAA.
Mr. Vizcarra is known for his self-motivation and proactive approach to education. He believes that fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment is essential for student success. His commitment to academic rigor and continuous improvement inspires his students and colleagues alike. Through his extensive experience and unwavering dedication, Mr. Vizcarra continues to make a significant impact in the field of computer science education, shaping the next generation of technology leaders.
