Ms. Hissah AlQahtani

Lecturer of Chemistry

Biography:

Hissah is a Lecturer in the College of Engineering and Architecture at Al Yamamah University, Al Khobar branch. With a Master’s degree in Physical Chemistry obtained in 2023 from Abdulrahman bin Faisal University (IAU), she brings a strong foundation in electrochemistry and extensive experience in scientific research.

Before joining Al Yamamah University, she served as a lecturer at IAU from August 2023 to July 2024. During this time, she played a significant role as a research co-supervisor on various Senior Design Projects (SDPs) within the College of Science and the College of Engineering. In addition, she mentored talented Mawhiba students, contributing to their academic growth and success.

Hissah has over four years of research experience across a range of applications, including corrosion, supercapacitors, solar cells, and water treatment. This work has resulted in the publication of several scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals, reflecting a commitment to advancing knowledge in these critical areas.

Notably, she holds two patents granted by the US Patent and Trademark Office, further demonstrating an innovative approach to research and development. As a recognized expert, she also serves as a reviewer for various international journals, ensuring the quality and rigor of scientific publications.

In addition to academic and research achievements, she has dedicated more than seven years to serving in nonprofit organizations, reflecting a deep commitment to community service and development.

Hissah is excited to bring this wealth of experience and knowledge to Al Yamamah University, where they will continue to inspire and educate the next generation of engineers and scientists.
